August Writing Prompts

new-harvest

The month of August is one of preparation. Preparation for school and fall activities (Northern Hemisphere) or for the completion of educational pursuits a d summer vacations (Southern Hemisphere).  Whatever the line up for your month we’ve past the mid-point of another year and preparing for what lay ahead.

So sharpen your pencils, warm up your fingers and shed some light on your experiences and spiritual pursuits…..

These are the topics for August. Each week there will be a new prompt to write from. If you are inspired to write something different for that week- go with it! There is much teaching in what presents itself to us to be put to pen and paper (or keyboard and motherboard), so go with your instincts.

Remember! The posting page for your links will be available the Sunday evening before each Monday Musing.

WK 1- August 3: Harvesting! In any spiritual pursuit there are times of planting and seeding and times of harvesting what has gone to fruition. How do you recognize what is ready to be cut down? How do you discern what needs to remain for more ripening? How do you move through your harvest in a productive way?

Wk 2- August 10: New Paths of Learning.. This is the time of starting new paths of learning as students either prepare to return to school or complete their studies. How do you determine what new paths of learning should be added to your foundations? Where do you seek further training? How do you balance the old and the new?

Wk 3- August 17: Deity and the Divine – This will be the third week’s topic every month and an opportunity for you to share with everyone those who guide, inspire and inform you.

Wk 4- August 24: Any writing for the letters O or P – I am keeping this familiar format on week 4 for those who have joined me from the Pagan Blog Project.

Bonus Week:

Wk 5- August 31: Your Choice!
